Shelter Nurses

Churches United has two full-time nurses on staff to help provide the basic medical needs/necessities for the guests that we serve.

Churches United is also part of the Sanford Shelter Nurse Program, which provides one-on-one care and medical guidance.

Family Services

Our family services offer a range of essential services tailored to parents and families. They provide valuable resources to assist with parenting, such as educational materials and workshops. Additionally, our services provide applications and referrals for additional services, ensuring families receive the necessary support.

Family case management is available Monday through Friday, offering personalized assistance to both parents and children. Private family rooms are accessible, equipped with amenities, and connected to community areas and playgrounds for children to enjoy. Furthermore, hygiene and baby products are readily available through the case management’s services, ensuring families have essential supplies.

On-Site Case Management

Our on-site case management services are geared towards enhancing the well-being and self-sufficiency of our guests. We provide comprehensive support to improve housing retention, stability, and overall quality of life. This includes offering referrals and assistance for mental health and substance use services, ensuring individuals have access to crucial resources.

Our team collaborates closely with external housing staff to streamline application processes and facilitate necessary meetings. We also prioritize helping guests establish routines by supporting time management and schedule keeping. Additionally, we provide valuable resources and referrals for accessing clothing, household essentials, hygiene products, and transportation, aiming to meet the diverse needs of our community members effectively.
